Brushing Your Teeth Correctly

Next time you brush your teeth don’t reach for a glass of water straight away. Dental experts tell us that the fluoride and other active ingredients contained in toothpaste need enough time to be absorbed thoroughly in order to work effectively.
So if you want a great smile make sure you spit rather than rinse all your toothpaste away after brushing.
- Brush twice daily with a good quality toothpaste containing fluoride
- Spit away toothpaste, don’t rinse it out
- Allow the toothpaste to lightly coat the teeth
Make sure you visit a dentist for regular check-ups. Your dentist can check your oral care and give you advice about how to brush your teeth correctly. Correct brushing techniques help prevent cavities and maintains your lovely smile.
